Nithyananda's Claims of Being a Cult God

Nithyananda Guilty of Identity Theft or God Fraud

Paramahamsa Nithyananda, sorry that I ask, but did you ever claim that you were God? I know you will just give a sheepish grin, and say something like “I’m not here to prove that I’m god, but I’m here to prove that you are god”. But, honestly, Sri Nithyananda, do you ever give a little extra 'attention' to those cute young devotees?  If I were an attractive young lady, I bet you would probably wink at me too. In fact, is it true, Sri Nithyananda, that your usual pick-up line for young ladies is to say something like “In my past life, I was Krishna, and I waited to take this birth to help liberate you.” Who could resist that?

And, Sri Nithyananda, to a group of ashramites in 2007, after you made them all ‘enlightened’, did you announce that one of your past reincarnations was Devi Minakshi. Wow, that even transcends gender!

Follow your dharma. Use your common sense. Listen to your inner-conscience, and follow the Truth. Come out of this trap, and escape from this fraudulent cult.

Nithyananda Private Life is Very Different Than His Public Life

Nithyananda, Now That’s Entertainment! What's It Like to have a Cult Following?

Paramahamsa Nithyananda, do you live an austere life? I know you will answer with ‘Yes’. And, maybe for a man who has all of that gold and money, others you might consider that true, especially if they hear all of those stories about you wandering as a renunciate monk. But, sorry, Sri Nithyananda, your actions do not point to a humble lifestyle. Nithyananda, do you still fly first class while you force your personal assistant, Ma Nithyananda Gopika, to the back of the plane, in the cattle coach section? And, why in the LA Ashram do you have the only unit with satellite TV? Don’t just believe me, Sri Nithyananda, do a search in Google Maps for:

928 Huntington Dr, Unit 5, Duarte, California 91010

and zoom in on the satellite view. You will see that in your quarters, Unit no. 5, the last unit on the lower right side, you can see the satellite TV dish. I wonder what TV shows are your favorites? “It Takes a Thief”?

With all those channels to select from from your satellite TV dish, I wonder how you get any conversation in? Nithyananda, may I ask what you talk about when the attractive ladies bring your meal and stay in your quarters for sometimes four to five hours? You must chew your food very slowly. Perhaps you were getting nourishment, but I think you might have gotten dinner and a show. We know someone who has seen all these ladies come and go in your quarters, and if ever called to testify in court, under penalty of perjury, this witness would name all of those ladies. You’re quite a stud for an enlightened renunciate.

Follow your dharma. Use your common sense. Listen to your inner-conscience, and follow the Truth. Come out of this trap, and escape from this fraudulent cult.

Questions That Need an Answer by Sri Nithyananda

Chronological Warfare with Nithyananda's 'Enlightenment'

Nithyananda, you say that you're 'enlightened' and you have deep insights to everything? That you can answer simple worldly questions with no problem? You say, "Yes". I say, "That sounds good. But, I'm from Missouri. I need to be shown." So, Paramahamsa Nithyananda, can you answer some very simple questions about your life? You, Nithyananda, seem very quiet. I promise that these are easy chronological questions because being a self-proclaimed Paramahamsa, you are embedded in the Truth. Are you not? If you only tell the Truth, then it is very easy to answer anything, correct? Sri Nithyananda, did the cat steal your tongue?

OK, readers from New York, Flushing New York, Queens, Bellevue Washington, Seattle Washington, and Montclair, Los Angeles, San Barnardino regions, etc., who still have a chance to meet Nithyananda before he goes back to India in November, could you please ask these simple questions to Sri Nithyananda during the upcoming Kalpataru programs and the International Youth Conference?

1. What was the name of the polytechnic that you, Paramahamsa Nithyananda, claimed to receive a degree with 'Distinction' in?

2. What were the dates (from when to when), you, Sri Nithyananda, attended this polytechnic school? (Hint: it must have been before your wandering.)

3. What year did you, Nithyananda, leave your home and begin wandering?

4. How many years did you, Sri Nithyananda, wander before receiving 'enlightenment'?

(Hint: the year Nithyananda started wandering plus years wandering cannot exceed January 1, 2000, the time Sri Nithyananda claims he was 'enlightened'. For instance, he claims to have left home at age 17 in 1995 to start his 9 years of wandering, but managed to pick up a two-year degree before all this happened, and still received 'enlightenment' just four and a half years later on January 1, 2000. Something just is not right with these calculations. If we count backwards, we subtract 9 years from 2000 = 1991. Then subtract two years to account for the polytechnic degree and we have January 1989. Why, in January 1989, Nithyananda was just 12, and at that time, Nithyananda did not even had his first 'enlightenment' story of seeing 360 degrees (which allegedly happened in May 1989). So, we're missing over five years, but Sri Nithyananda will be sure to tell the Truth, and everything will be just fine as it was before we were started to open our eyes and seek the Truth.)

5. Also, ask Sri Nithyananda when exactly was his biological birthday? We need to know the day, year, and time, just like the information that was given to the astrologers that determined that Sri Nithyananda would be a sanyasi (renunciant monk). There are all kinds of rumors and stories that his birthday is on a different day other than January 1, 1978, and Nithyananda can easily clear this up in one shot.

6. Finally, please ask Sri Nithyananda where was the EXACT place that he became 'enlightened'? This 'enlightenment' story seems to be wiggling like a worm on the hot pavement. We'll be writing about it shortly. Therefore, it would be helpful if he clarified once and for all where he, Nithyananda, became 'enlightened'.

By asking Paramahamsa Nithyananda these questions, you certainly will be doing him a great service. Right now, there seems to be lots of doubt about all of these stories, which are probably very true, or at least at one point in our lives we would have liked to believe that these stories were true. After all, every one of these stories about Paramahamsa Nithyanada is in his books and in his YouTube videos. All the sanyasis (renunciants) and acharyas (teachers) also will gladly tell you that these stories are true. However, the problem is with people like us, with our worldly and logical minds that just cannot understand these stories unless they are clear with firm dates that match the context. So, by asking Sri Nithyananda, he has a chance to clear all of these doubts and assure us that he really is 'enlightened' and that he might even make us 'enlightened' just as he is 'enlightened'.

If you are at Kalpataru programs and the International Youth Conference, be sure to discuss these simple questions during the breaks at during lunch with all other participants. Also, be sure to raise them during the 'question and answer' sessions. This will help keep the focus on giving Sri Nithyananda his big chance to let us all know that every one of his stories really is true, and that we should believe everything he says.

If Sri Nithyananda cannot answer these simple questions about his own life, then it might help keep people who have lots of questions and doubts whether Nithyananda really is 'enlightened' or not 'enlightened' away from Nithyananda and his followers... therefore, they will not annoy Paramahamsa Nithyananda and his followers with these seemingly silly questions. Then, Sri Nithyananda will have more time to spend with his TRUE believers who do not ask these silly questions or who are not very good at things like simple math and basic logic, but just want to believe everything that Sri Nithyananda says because Sri Nithyananda sounds so convincing or heart-throbbing otherwise.

Perhaps those that have seemingly nagging and annoying worldly questions but signed up to attend some expensive and timely programs like "Life Bliss Engineering" should ask for a full refund. I'm sure Nithyananda will be glad to give a full refund because if these people attended the program full of doubts about if Nithyananda is 'enlightened' or not 'enlightened', they will probably not get much from this expensive program. In fact, they will probably spend most of their time asking Sri Nithyananda if he really is 'enlightened' or not 'enlightened' which will take away the bliss from the other people who really do believe that Sri Nithyananda is 'enlightened' and who paid all that money and made all those arrangements to be there to receive 'enlightenment' from the 'enlightened' master, Sri Nithyananda. If these doubters are there spoiling all that bliss, then everyone will go home disappointed for everyone will think that they did not receive 'enlightenment' after paying all that money and taking all that time off to be there. So, everyone will benefit if these people with doubts, even small doubts, receive a full refund and stay away from Sri Nithyananda and his programs.

Therefore, if you have signed up for this expensive and timely program of "Life Bliss Engineering", I'm sure all you need to do is contact the nearest ashram in LA or Bidadi, ask your questions about Sri Nithyananda's enlightenment, and if the answers are not fully satisfying, then politely, but firmly ask for a full refund.

If for any silly reason the ashrams refuse to give you a full refund, then you may send us your story, and we'll gladly post it on this forum. If there are enough people who are not satisfied with the answers regarding Sri Nithyananda's 'enlightenment' explanations, then perhaps we can organize a class action law suit. I believe we just need five people to start one. Why not be the first batch to see if the logic of the legal system is any match for Sri Nithyananda's chronological logic of his 'enlightenment'?

Do the Math - 'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda's Enlightenment Timeline Doesn't Add Up

Part 1: Engineer Degree Holder, 'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda, has Problems with Basic Arithmetic

Summary:  The so-called Paramahamsa Nithyananda has concocted a very impressive story about his journey to his 'enlightenment'.  The problem is that when someone adds up the years to the dates that this swami claims to have experienced, nothing adds up.

The graphic below nicely summarizes the inconsistencies in self-titled Paramahamsa Nithyananda's timeline:
(Click on Image to see the details of fraud)
Source: nithyatales.com

Nithyananda, you said that you left your house when you were 17, wandered by foot for nine years, and then obtained enlightenment on January 1, 2000? You say, “Correct. It is in all my books.” I say, “That’s a nice story, but it doesn’t add up.” Your stories have too many inconsistencies.

Let’s start out with things that we agree that you said, Sri Nithyananda. First, we agree that you claim January 1, 1978 as your birthday. Then, we agree that you claimed your spiritual wanderings at age 17, where you left your home. And, we agree that you at least consistently said that you obtained ‘enlightenment’ on January 1, 2000, a very special day indeed. Do you agree with this, Paramahamsa Nithyananda? You will say, “Yes” (OK, you’ll just grunt as you do in real life, but we’ll take that as a ‘yes’.)

Let’s first look at your education. My understanding is that most young men and ladies in India leave/graduate high school at age 17. Why that’s perfectly consistent with your story about leaving home and beginning your wanderings across India. In fact, on page 157 of my copy of your book, Glimpses of My Master, Nithyananda, first edition December 2005 (but you recalled this 'first edition' book and then re-released it as the second 'first edition', but I think I have the original first ‘first’ edition that you didn’t want anyone to see.) Anyway, you state clearly that it was 1995 when you were getting ready to leave your house to start your wanderings. Now if we subtract the year you were born, 1978 from the date you started your journey, 1995, we get 17 years of age. Perfect. Right on target. You, Sri Nithyananda, are already to start your wandering.

But, wait just a minute. In your book, The Formless in Form, on page 29, you brag, yes, brag, that you not only attended a polytechnic near Gudiyattam, but passed each engineering exam with ‘Distinction’. That makes you a degree holder. Now aren't most polytechnic schools offer a three-year degree? How can a high school leaver/graduate get a three-year degree in ZERO years? Maybe you used some of your super-naturally siddhis and just completed the necessary tests upon arrival of this polytechnic school? But, once again in your book, The Formless in Form, on page 29, you mention that you attended ALL of the lectures, but never studied, therefore, you had to be there (in attendance) sitting in the classroom in order to pass. As quoted in your book, that you, Sri Nithyananda, wrote:
"The total concentration which he (Nithyananda) gave the lesson during class hours was enough to see him through each exam with the highest grade – a ‘Distinction’."
That means that you had to be there, in the classroom, in the polytechnic school that is near Gudiyattam for the duration of the degree. Now, unless, Sri Nithyananda, you wandered in between classes, this resets your wandering journey to 1998 at age 20. How could this be? Are you stretching the truth just a bit?

Once again, if you answer the questions about the polytechnic school you attended that we asked earlier, all these questions just might go away. When will you answer these questions? [See post titled: 'Paramahamsa Nithyananda Fails Engineering College'] We specifically are interested to know the name and address of this polytechnic school, the dates of attendance, references, and a copy of your transcript. We wait, patiently. But, for now, the burden of proof is on you, Sri Nithyananda.

Paramahamsa Nithyananda, why are you squirming on your golden throne? This is just a small matter. You will fix it, won’t you?

Part 2: Nithyananda’s Long and Tall Stories to Match His Long and Tall Journey
Sri Nithyananda, let’s just assume this polytechnic degree never happened and that you left your house in 1995 at age 17 to start your wandering across the breadth of India. Is that true, Sri Nithyananda, that you wandered across India and Nepal for around nine years? You, Nithyananda, will say “Yes, that is true.” I say perhaps we should give you a calculator for your next Jayanti (birthday celebrations).

Again, on my copy of Glimpses of My Master, Nithyananda (same 'first' edition), you mention on page 83 that you:
“traveled over 30,000 kilometers over 8 to 10 years.”
In most lectures, I hear you, Sri Nithyananda, usually just say that your wandered for nine years. OK, fair enough. We’ll split the difference and say nine years. Now in the same book, it says that you started your wandering in the year 1995 (p. 157) when you were just 17. I don’t know exactly when in 1995, so perhaps we can split the difference again and say that your journey started on July 1, 1995.

Paramahamsa Nithyananda, what is 1995 plus 9 ? Why, it is 2004. July 2004 to be consistent. Why by July 2004 you already had your Bidadi Ashram well established, your first gig as a holy Himalayan tour guide, and already made several trips to the US as an ‘enlightened’ master.

But, didn’t you, Sri Nithyananda, say that you obtained the ‘ultimate’ experience of ‘enlightenment’ on January 1, 2000? And, that concluded your wandering?

Why that was just in a mere four and a half years of wandering, exactly half of the full nine years of wandering that you always claim. Is there an explanation, Sri Nithyananda? Would you like to tell us something? Did you do some time continuum travel? Or is it like your ‘sacred’ banyan tree at your Bidadi ashram that ages in double-time. (Stay tuned for another post about the incredible ‘sacred’ banyan tree that was first claimed to be 300 years old and now it is claimed to be 600 years old.)

I know, Sri Nithyananda, you go beyond logic. And, this proves that you gone way beyond logic. I think you might have landed firmly in the realm of nonsense. Would some people see this as lying? What? A living Paramahamsa and self-declared saint lie in this age of Kali Yuga? What is this world coming to, Paramahamsa Nithyananda? Please say it ain’t so!

Nine Months for Nithyananda's Full 'Enlightenment'

The Expecting State of Nithyananda's Enlightenment; Nine Months in the Waiting

Sri Nithyananda, another question. Do you remember saying that after reaching ‘full enlightenment’, it took nine months for the body to settle in to the ‘new’ you. Of course you do. You wrote it in all of your books.

Nithyananda, when compared to other recognized enlightened masters such as Paramahamsa Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda, their enlightenment process only took minutes.  Immediately, they were fully functional. Why did you, Sri Nithyananda, take so long? Why nine months is long enough to have a baby! Were you pregnant or did someone else move in?

pt 1, Is the 'Enlightened State' of Nithyananda the Real Thing? : Nithyananda's Ashramites & Inner-circle of Nithyananda

Nithyananda's Enlightened Yardstick of Judgment

To the dear ashramites and inner-circle of Nithyananda,

Are you enlightened?
You say, “Yes”. I say, “Not at all”. For example, you do not believe in universal love for all, but you believe in ‘us’ vs. ‘them’. You believe in group-mentality. New information is ‘downloaded’ and installed in your brain. You relate fully to this new information. You believe that you are something that you are not.

And, if someone wants to talk with you, you do not listen to what this person is saying, but you, instead, analyze that person based on that recorded (brainwashed) Nithyananda information. You instantly judge that person based on your mental yardstick of Nithyananda instead of judging on Truth, common sense, understanding, and universal love. This is not blissful. You do not seek to understand, but only to get approval from Nithyananda and Nithyananda’s senior members. This is the basis of your cult mentality.

Follow your dharma. Use your common sense. Listen to your inner-conscience, and follow the Truth. Come out of this trap, and escape from this fraudulent cult.

pt 2, Nithyananda's Conditional & Hierarchical Love: Nithyananda's Ashramites & Inner-circle of Nithyananda

Feel the Pecking Order of Nithyananda's Conditional Love

To the dear ashramites and inner-circle of Nithyananda,

Do you love everyone equally?
Your answer is “Yes”. But, wrong again. Then why do you identify yourselves as ‘us’ and ‘them’ or those who ‘are with your swami’ or ‘those who are against your swami’ or ‘those that wear the mala’ and ‘those that do not wear the mala’ or ‘those that “got it”’ or ‘those who missed’. Isn’t that group mentality... or brainwashed mentality?
Even within your group, which has cult mentality, you classify yourselves as being ‘senior’ devotees, ‘close-to-swami’ devotees, and ‘enlightened’ devotees. You treat yourselves differently based on this hierarchy criterion. An observer might note that Nithyananda's Order is really a pecking order based on hierarchy, seniority, proximity, and money.
Are you lying to yourselves? Are you living a lie? Why does your inner-conscious not support and approve your decisions to be part of this group? Why is your inner-conscious in conflict with your decisions and choices you are making to support this group? Is this ‘swami working on you’ and ‘swami churning you’? Or, is this allusion self-doubt?
Follow your dharma. Use your common sense. Listen to your inner-conscience, and follow the Truth. Come out of this trap, and escape from this fraudulent cult.

pt 3, Attachment to Nithyananda's Enlightenment?: Nithyananda's Ashramites & Inner-circle of Nithyananda

Attachment to Nithyananda's Brand (TM) of Enlightenment

To the dear ashramites and inner-circle of Nithyananda,

Do you consider yourselves to be 'self-realized' or 'enlightened'; now free of attachments to worldly desires?
You say “Yes”. Oh, wrong again. Let’s analyze your 'enlightened' state. For example, are you attached to anything? First of all, you are attached to your Nithyananda mala (rosary) on your neck. You are attached to Nithyananda’s picture that is on your mala, your walls, your wallet, etc. You are attached to your Nithyananda bracelet, your Nithyananda name (which you were required to change legally), and your Nithyananda padika (small bronze sandals in the guru pooja [prayer] kit). You are especially tied to your Nithyananda kavi cloth (renunciant cloth) where you traded your life savings for a piece of Nithyananda’s cloth and your Nithyananda enlightenment thread / rope that Nithyananda tied on your arm when he declared you as being 'enlightened'. Yes, you are tied to Nithyananda attachments. Just like a remora (sucker fish) is attached to a shark, you now feed off the 'good' fortune of your master.
Nithyananda Followers attach themselves to Nithyananda's body like a remora attaches itself to a shark.

Secondly, your identity is replaced by this Nithyananda identity in your daily life. You believe in that, which you are not. All this means is that you are body conscious. You attach to His body, His things, and His idea of what you are. This is clearly a RED signal of being brainwashed, and not being 'enlightened'.

To help you understand, you should read the book, Ashtavakra Gita. (Do not read or listen to the corrupted versions published by your group, which was designed to further brainwash you. Your corrupted version of the Ashtavakra Gita will not increase your wisdom, but instead it will destroy your intelligence.)

Follow your dharma. Use your common sense. Listen to your inner-conscience, and follow the Truth. Come out of this trap, and escape from this fraudulent cult.

pt 4, Nithyananda Fears: Nithyananda's Ashramites & Inner-circle of Nithyananda

Nithyananda Fears (TM) are Going to Haunt You

To the dear ashramites and inner-circle of Nithyananda,

Are you enlightened?
I know you. No matter how many times I ask this, you will say “Yes”. Didn’t Nithyananda make you practice what to say if anyone tried to take away your enlightenment? He is such a good and practical teacher.
Tell us, do you experience fear?
You will say ‘No’ superficially, but deep in your heart, you are saying ‘Yes’. Isn’t the confusion from not being honest with yourself destroying your family and friends? Think about it. You cannot even think to walk alone in the graveyard. True, you did this at one time... but you did this in a group, under the guidance of Nithyananda.
Follow your dharma. Use your common sense. Listen to your inner-conscience, and follow the Truth. Come out of this trap, and escape from this fraudulent cult.

pt 5, La-La Land: Nithyananda's Ashramites & Inner-circle of Nithyananda

Nithyananda's La-La Land and Family UN-Ties

To the dear ashramites and inner-circle of Nithyananda,

Do you still have family and friends outside of Nithyananda?
You will say ‘No’. Congratulations. You finally got a correct answer.
For those that still have family and friends outside the sphere of Nithyananda, do you love them as much as your group?
You will say ‘No’. Congratulations. You have the second correct answer. You’re on a roll.
Are you breaking up your family and want to live in La-La Land in Los Angeles, Bidadi, Salem, etc.?
You will answer ‘Yes!’ with much enthusiasm.  You love Nithyananda's La-La Land, a.k.a. the ashram.  It is just like the beginning part of Pleasure Island in the Pinocchio  story." What great bliss! Wow. That’s three correct answers in a row. I now will enter you in a game show.
For all you sweet devotees of Nithyananda's La-La Land, those who believe in this illusion and falsehood, you must read the book, “The 48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene. Pay particular attention to 217-218 on cults psychology that is applied on you by your loving master, Nithyananda. You will now see why I want to enter you in a game show.

Follow your dharma. Use your common sense. Listen to your inner-conscience, and follow the Truth. Come out of this trap, and escape from this fraudulent cult.

'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda Spreads His Dark Tantric Bliss - This is NOT Lord Shiva

Spread the Graveyard Bliss

Mr. Nithyananda, do you ever give too much energy to your disciples that it becomes harmful? You will say “No”. But, then again, you might have forgotten the story during the 2005 acharya (teacher) training in Krishnalaya, California. During the training, there was one woman who went crazy. She began to scream, talk in tongues, talk non-sense, crawl under her bed, and became nonfunctional. You sent your right-hand-man, Bhaktananada to deal with this problem. Later, the husband of this lady who went crazy came to the retreat and brought her back to her home. The official line was “She could not handle Swami’s energy.” So, maybe the problem was with her and that she was too weak to receive this energy? Did something move inside her? I guess it didn’t matter because everyone else was experiencing lots of bliss, deep in La La Land, was sleep-deprived, too busy, etc. and all of the other participants knew that your energy was good, so this would eventually help her. So, she really wasn’t a casualty. Is this correct?

Nithyananda, can you honestly admit that only tantric, dark arts, ghosts practitioners only use the graveyard as a holy place? I imagine that you will be silent. That is golden. Some deluded people might think (but, sorry, deluded people cannot think; my fault) that Lord Shiva only resides in the graveyard. But this is NOT true. Lord Shiva resides in his abode in Mount Kailash, in the Tibet portion of the Himalayas. True, Lord Shiva is everywhere and in everything. Lord Shiva is even in Nithyananda’s ashram, (but I believe he holds his nose whenever he is there.)

Follow your dharma. Use your common sense. Listen to your inner-conscience, and follow the Truth. Come out of this trap, and escape from this fraudulent cult.

'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda & Graveyard Enlightenment

Dig Your Own Grave

Nithyananda, do you often talk about graveyards, death, and ghosts in your pricey meditation retreats?  You will say, "No".  Oh, dear.  We just have to have five minutes in your YouTube  channel to disprove that one.  That was too easy.

Yes, Sri Nithyananda, you certainly seem to love stories about graveyards, death, and ghosts and refer to these stories in your lectures all of the time. Shall we review a few of them?

Let’s see now, there’s the story about when you were a boy (Rajasekaran, a.k.a. Paramahamsa Nithyananda) how you would steal (yes, steal!) cigarettes to give to these 'holy' renunciants that hanged out in the graveyard so you could enhance your spiritual growth from the knowledge that these 'holy' monks offered. Nithyananda, did you get anything anything in return for these cigarettes?

Then, Sri Nithyananda, there’s the story that you tell everyone how you overcame ‘fear’ and the pretext to your practice of ‘what would swami do?’ You prescribe this 'meditation' to your followers. As an impressionable boy, a.k.a. Rajasekaran, you said that you were circumnavigating the holy hill of Arunachala near your hometown of Thiruvannamalai. During one circumnavigation, you found yourself in a graveyard at 2:00 a.m. and it was raining. You then said that you came across a dog that was eating an unearthed corpse that no longer had its head attached. Nithyananda, you immediately claimed that you thought of “What would some swami do?” to help you get control of your fear. Do you remember that story, Sri Nithyananda? Of course you do.

Now, we would like to ask some questions, Sri Nithyananda. Even if it takes five hours to walk around Arunachala Hill and you were at the tail end of your five-hour journey, why did you end up in the graveyard, alone, at 2:00 a.m.? That meant that you left to circumnavigate Arunachala hill at 9:00 p.m. at the earliest. Isn’t unusual practice to make such a long journey only at night, and all alone? Nithyananda, is there a possibility that you did not circumnavigate Arunachala Hill, but just went to the graveyard to do some practice?

Nithyananda, during your alleged ‘wandering’ years, can you recount the story you tell about how the spirit of Mahavtaar Babaji ‘floated’ toward you, gave you your name of 'Nithyananda', and merged in you. You said that you were able to move your hand right through him. This sounds more like a ghost than a holy man. Could you please tell us the difference?

Sri Nithyananda, you also seemed to have quite a meditation at the Manikarnika Ghat in Benaras. Isn’t this where Hindus cremate all of those dead bodies? And, Nithyananda, you said that you sat outside where all of the cremation smoke is? You said that you went without food and water for three days during this meditation and had an out-of-body experience and experienced death. Could you, Nithyananda, replicate this meditation again? Just do a simple meditation and go without food and water for three days with others to verify that. That would probably be sufficient proof.

Nithyananda, didn’t you say that your first ashram in Tamil Nadu was at Erode on the Kaveri River? Didn’t you say that this was next to a cemetery? Why did you choose the location of your first Nithyananda ashram to be next to a cemetery? During one workshop, you mentioned how you gave your first ashramites, Ayya and his wife, experiences of seeing ghosts in the cemetery next to your ashram. Why did you give them this experience as opposed to seeing Divinity?

Nithyananda, can you recount story about one of your first healers that you initiated? You said that she grew too big of her ego and started her own following, and her followers had malas (rosaries) with her picture on it. This Nithyananda healer soon ran into trouble of being possessed by a ghost as a result of a failed exorcism. Nithyananda, do you remember telling your audience how you “took care” of it? What actually happened? We would like to know.

Nithyananda, during a program you held in Montclair, California at the Nithyananda Vedic Temple in December 2007, do you remember the story about the disciple that wanted to see a ghost as you were driving the car? You said that you pulled over the highway to stop at a cemetery. Do you, Nithyananda, recall that you said that your follower's actual request was to see a deity, but you said that seeing a ghost and seeing a deity is at the same vibration level, so you let this Nithyananda disciple see a ghost and not deity? If you recall, Nithyananda, you said that the disciple became very scared and defecated in his pants, and that the ghost followed him around for several weeks.

Sri Nithyananda, why did you not choose to let this follower of yours see a deity? Isn’t that a much more holy experience? Can you let other people see deities since it, in your words, requires the same vibration level and energy?

Nithyananda, do you ever take other people into the graveyard? You will answer, “No”, at least not living people. That’s interesting. One of your living participants in the 2008 program of “Living Enlightenment” broke her oath of secrecy regarding this program in India. She told us how you took your followers to a graveyard, did a fire ritual, and then had all the participants runaround the graveyard in a chaotic way. Did you, Nithyananda, say that this was to help your followers overcome their fears? Did you do anything else, while you were there? Is this how enlightened masters train other people to become enlightened? Maybe you should rename your program “The Night of Living Enlightenment”.

Follow your dharma. Use your common sense. Listen to your inner-conscience, and follow the Truth. Come out of this trap, and escape from this fraudulent cult.

'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda Expelled from Ramakrishna Mission in Calcutta

Ramakrishna Mission, the Ultimate Refuge

Sri Nithyananda, speaking of the Ramakrishna Mission, is it true that you went to the Ramakrishna Mission and studied there for some time? You mentioned this in your book, ‘The Formless in Form’, in fact you have pictures of young Nithyananda and other disciples on pages 34 through 36.

Is it true that the Ramakrishna Mission expelled you, the self-titled 'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda, for disobedience, misbehavior, and not following the discipline of the Order? You say, “No”. OK. But, can you show any recognition from the Ramakrishna Mission that you attended and were in ‘good standing’?

To help clarify, please let us know, Sri Nithyananda, the years you attended and the total period of time you were there? I imagine that it must have been a long time. From when to when? That would account for all of those Ramakrishna lessons and stories that you claim to be your own, and helped to build your resume of being a legitimate 'enlightened' master.

Furthermore, is it true, Sri Nithyananda, that the Ramakrishna Mission disqualified you and refused to give you sanyasi (renunciant monk)? It seems that you requested to receive sanyasi time and time again to President Maharaj, of the Ramakrishna Mission, in Calcutta, but he refused again and again.

Didn’t you, Nithynanda, know that it usually takes between eight to twelve years of being in the order before given the title of sanyasi? The Ramakrishna Mission wants to examine the character of each applicant first to see if he is qualified and deserving to become a sanyasi in the Ramakrishna Order.

But, we all know, you, Sri Nithyananda, are a man in a hurry, and like to do things really fast. Didn’t you, Nithyananda, once say that you’re a jet set swami?

I understand, Nithyananda, that in your impatience, you had a big fight with President Maharaj, and shouted to him “One day, I will show you who I am! I am greater than Ramakrishna!” And, then you left the Ramakrishna Mission.  Is this true, Sri Nithyananda? All that meditation sure must have helped you with your anger management.

Nithyananda, do you hold any bad will toward the Ramakrishna movement because of this fallout? You will say, “No”. Sorry, Nithyananda, you are busted again. We have eyewitnesses in your inner circle of devotees who can remember time and time again how you called the Ramakrishna Mission simply ‘dead’.

You, Nithyananda, also seem to be very fond of telling a story how you went to the Ramakrishna Mission in Calcutta and made a generous donation. You claimed that everyone at the Ramakrishna Mission was ignoring you. That the members of the Ramakrishna Mission were having a tea party and didn’t offer you a sip of tea. And, when you went to the altar to make the donation, the priest at the Ramakrishna Mission was only interested to see how much you donated.

These are the stories you have told, Nithyananda. Do you have any more?

New Information as of January 11, 2010
Hi there Sri Nithyananda.  After we wrote this post, we did a little research on you and the Ramakrishna Mission.  Turns out that you were there for about five years, mostly in Chennai (Madras), but then a few months in Belur near Kolkata (Calcutta).   Funny, 'Swami' Nithyananda, you tried to hide all of that in your biographies since you claimed to be wandering during that exact same time.  Anyway, here's the link to that post, in case you, Sri Nithyananda want to regain your convenient memory:

'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda, Show Us Your Birth Certificate, Please

Which Day Should We Celebrate Your Birthday, Nithyananda?

Paramahamsa Nithyananda, another question that we have is concerning your birth date. You said that you are born on January 1, 1978, that’s New Year’s Day. You also said that you got your enlightenment that day too? That must be a very special date, indeed!

Sri Nithyananda, could you please let us know the exact time of your birth date? You must know it, because you gave it to the astrologer that said that you would be a sanyasi (a renunciant monk). That is very rare. In fact, Nithyananda, you said that the astrologers gave back all the money they collected that day because they predicted that you would be a sanyasi.

Is there any reason that you have not published this reading? The Ramakrisna Mission published both Paramahamsa Ramakrishna and Swami Vivikananda’s exact birth times and horoscopes for public scrutiny. Could you do the same?

We would like to independently verify that you, Sri Nithyananda, are destined to be a sanyasi and not just an engineer degree holder.

Also, Sri Nithyananda, some close devotees recall that you said in June 2004 on a train trip from Banglore to Dheli in route to the first Himalaya tour, that your biological birthday was sometime in June, 1978. Nithyananda, you said that you just rolled both of them up (both your birthday and our ‘enlightenment’ day) into one day to make it easier for everyone. Why that is very convenient of you, Sri Nithyananda.

Nithyananda, after that trip, we never heard you say anything about your birthday being in June again. Does this mean you still respect your mother? Our findings show that the City Birth Records of Thiruvannamalai (your hometown) mentioned a different date of birth for Rajasekaran, a.k.a. Paramahamsa Nithyananda. Does this still mean you will become a sanyasi?

New Information as of November 3, 2009
Unlike Sri Nithyananda's birthday, this blog can be updated. But, if we provide new information, we will mark it as that.

Sri Nithyananda, do you remember telling us in your book, Glimpses of My Master, Nithyananda, first 'first' (original) edition December 2005 on pages 87-91 that you were born on January 1, 1978 at 0:30 (12:30 a.m.) in Thiruvannamalai? Why of course you do, because you cannot really change this information now that you committed to it on print. Sri Nithyananda, looks like you listed all of the other 'enlightened' masters and sages that were also born in the Tamil month of Margazhi (December - January) (pp. 88-89). Were you riding on their coattails? Why on page 89 did you also mention Osho (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh) as one of these sages? Do you really think that Osho (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh) is on the same level as Ramana Maharishi and Vivekananda? I imagine you will say, "Yes." Your 'enlightenment' sure has some interesting insights.

Just to make sure your credentials were really up-to-par, did you, Sri Nithyananda, as outlined on page 89 say that you were born on Ashtami Day (the eighth day of the waxing moon)? Did you not say that no other than Lord Krishna was born on this day? Therefore, the reader can naturally draw the conclusion that you must be either Lord Krishna or as great as He? Wow, that sure is a coincidence. I bet gopikas (milk maidens) will come running to you now.
We see Sri Nithyananda, you did update your second first edition book of Nithyananda Vol 1.  In that updated version, we see that you changed your birth time back to being 12:32 a.m.  Good editorial move, there, Sri Nithyananda.
New Information as of January 17, 2010
Wow, Sri Nithyananda, we actually got to see a copy of your canceled U.S. Visa. You know, Sri Nithyananda, the one that got canceled with prejudice on April 2, 2007 on the U.S.-Canadian border. Bummer. We couldn't help but notice, Sri Nithyananda, that on that visa, your birth date was stated as March 13, 1977. Was that a Friday the 13th? Because, we think you're one scary dude. Why the difference, Sri Nithyananda? And does this throw your horoscope off?  Were you really predicted to be a raja sanyasi (king of renunciants)? And, we couldn't help but notice that the Rajapoly Polytechnic stated that you were an alumni from 1990 to 1993. Wow, 1990? Really? Why that would make you a tender age of 12. And, you might not have even had the 360-degree head-spinning 'spiritual' experience that you always mention on your holy guru credentials. Wow, Sri Nithyananda, you must be a genuine Paramahamsa to be able to do all these things at such a young age.
Homework Assignment:
Since Sri Nithyananda did not post his astrology chart at any of his ashrams, perhaps someone with expertise in this sphere could help us verify once and for all that Sri Nithyananda is telling the Truth. Based on his birthday of January 1, 1978 at 12:30 a.m. in Thiruvannamalai, could someone run a horroscope reading and see if indeed, little Rajasekaran, a.k.a. Paramahamsa Nithyananda, was really destined to be a sanyasi (renunciant monk) with even greater things in store for him? This will certainly help clear things up once and for all.

Sri Nithyananda, to help our readers understand how ridiculous your timeline, alleged birth date, and all of your events that you claimed happen really are, our friends at nithyatales.com put together this handy graphic:

'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda Fails Mechanical Engineering College

Life Bliss Engineered Failure

Is it true, Sri Nithyananda, that you failed your engineering college? You will say that ‘No’, that you got the highest mark, a real genius. I remember you said that in my very first program I attended of yours. You were just beaming.

OK, Sri Nithyananda, fair enough. Would you kindly help verify your academic achievements in excellence by providing us with this information?
  • Could you, Nithyanada, please mention the college name, the location with the address, your batch number, and your subject major?
  • Could you, Nithyananda, please mention who was the principal at that time?
  • And, Nithyananda, could you please give us a few teachers’ names (for references)?
  • Why you are at it, can you mention a few names of your classmates?
  • We would especially love to hear the name of your former classmate who went to you for blessings after you achieved your ‘enlightenment’?
This information will clear up the situation, erase all doubts in our minds, and give you, Paramahamsa Nithyananda, the legitimacy and recognition you deserve to continue your legacy of being an 'enlighted' master.

UPDATE!We since have learned that the Rajagopal Polytechnic College in Gudiyattam, Tamil Nadu, testifies on its website that 'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda, a.k.a. Rajasekaran, attended the Mechanical Engineering program from 1990 to 1993.  There is a slight problem here, for little Rajasekaran, a.k.a. Paramahamsa Nithyanananda, would have only been twelve years old at that time.  You may read more about these findings on our blog post titled:
Guinness World Book of Record Holder: 'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda as Youngest Polytechnic Student
We still question if the so-called Swami Nithyananda ever did complete his degree based on all of the other inconsistencies in his biography.  Our research showed that 'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda did attend the Rajagopal Polytechnic College in Gudiyattam, Tamil Nadu, but most likely did not complete his degree. We need stronger proof than what the rajapoly website offers.  (Remember, the Rajagopal Polytechnic College in Gudiyattam has a strong incentive to claim Sri Nithyananda as an alumnus.)  We'll keep you updated when we find out more information about 'Paramahamsa' Nithyananda and his alleged college years.  Stay tuned.

Nithyananda Takes Transcendental Meditation (TM) to Cool Down while still a Boy in Thiruvannamalai

Antics of Rajasekaran, a.k.a. Nithyananda, in Thiruvannamalai
Nithyananda, is it true that you took a course on Transcendental Mediation (TM) when you were a young lad in Thiruvannamalai? Nithyananda answers, “Yes, it is true. It is in my book, ‘The Formless in Form. I was still known as Rajasekaran.” And, your parents took little Rajasekaran, a.k.a. Paramahamsa Nithyananda, there because you were a very, very naughty boy who deserved to be spanked, and your parents wanted to cool down your angry and out-of-control behavior?

Nithyananda looks lost and says, “No response.” Yes, Nithyananda, we tend to just remember the good things, especially when we are trying to convince others that we are holy people from the very beginning. But, that’s OK, Nithyananda. You were still in development then.

Note: Any of Nithyananda's classmates from Thiruvannamalai who remember Nithyananda as a boy growing up in Thiruvannamalai are welcome to comment about little Nithyananda, then named Rajasekaran, and about his naughtiness in Thiruvannamalai. This might help balance the unconfirmed stories that Paramahamsa Nithyananda tells about himself as Rajasekaran and his boyhood in Thiruvannamalai.

Nithyananda Corrupts Sanskrit and Vedic Culture

Dear Nithyananda, I greet you sincerely.

OM NAMAHA SHIVAYA.

The State of NithyaNumbDumb
Sri Nithyananda, I observed that you make your devotees say ‘Nithyanandam’, instead of ‘Om Namah Shivaya’. Are you Tamilian? Nithyananda, you will say, “Of course I am. Tamils are a very cultured race on this earth.” Oh, yes. You are correct, and spiritual too. A lot of the classic Hindu literature was first written in Tamil.

Nithyananda, are you familiar with the book named, Tirumantiram? Paramahamsa Nithyananda says “Yes” (actually in real life, Nithyananda usually just grunts [soft growling] like an animal, and it is up to you to guess whether he means yes or no, but for convenience sake, we’ll assume that Nithyananda is actually articulate just for this essay.)

Nithyananda, is there any divine salutation mentioned as “Nithyanandam” in this book? Nithyananda says, “I don’t know for sure.” Factchecker.org says that there is absolutely no mention of Nithyanandam as a state in this book or for that matter, by any other enlightened master that has walked this earth including, but not limited to Buddha, Ramana Maharishi, Sri Ramakrishna, etc.

In this way, Nithyananda has produced an original one-of-a-kind, first-of-its-kind, never-before-reveled-truth by getting people to say “Nithyanandam”. It’s kind of like that original masterpiece painting on velvet called “Les Chiens Playing Poker”. (OK, for those not familiar with French, The Dogs Playing Poker.)
