I would say people are way to critical of him. He is innocent until proven guiltly. And even if guilty.Then maybe sexual misconduct. but, common people. Not worthy of the kind of critism he is getting. In understand that he may have offended people.And that maybe he should change religions or something. But baseball bats to his ashram, and people burning his picture that is rediculous. There may be different levels of enlightenment and maybe he has not reached a very high level yet. People must have believed once that Satchit is a religious man!! Cmon, he is just a clown of the Nithyananda circus. Did you guys not know that a married man cannot wear a saffron cloth, even if he has some advanced initiation. If he were religious to the smallest extent he would have dropped that color knowing its significance. There were red flags right from the scratch. He is for money, money and only money. He has sold his soul for money. If he ever cared about his family and their well being, he would have run away at least after the arrest of Nithya, knowing the dirty deals in which he and few other jokers were involved. ONe must still have a teacher to go to for fifteen years after enlightenment.Because of the conditioning that remains. This is the way it used to be done. And I can see the reason why. These days people think they are completely awake ,when there awakening is not that deep. They have moved from the old ways. Thinking they do not need a teacher and that they are enlightened. In any case of enlightenment. Other teachers will tell these appearing teachers that they, are not fully awake ,if they are given the chance to. I have witnessed this firsthand. With people being told they are fully awake when they are not, by not awake people. And they believe it.Because they live in a half baked blissful state. They believe and others believe there work is done, when its not. I do not know Nithyanada personally but, I think this is what happened to him. He deserves to be exposed for perpetrating this state of false enlightenment.

I don’t know how these ideas of staying with a teacher for 15 years AFTER enlightenment has come about. It probably emanates from Zen Buddhist tradition. But even this tradition is being misinterpreted from Zen stories like in Zen Flesh and Bones. The stories are just a primer to Koans and help one to stay the path. Taking the stories for fact is not its intended use. This is like taking the stories in fables for fact rather than understanding the moral that the story implies.
ReplyDeleteJust take the examples of Ramana Maharishi and Nisargadatta Maharaj. Both of them said that either you get it or you don’t. In fact Nisargadatta Maharaj used say that if a person “got it” then get out and not stick around.
What is conditioning exactly? Isn’t it just a person’s affinity to thoughts? If a person is still driven by thoughts that yes, we could call that conditioning. But the most basic teaching about enlightenment is that one is not the thoughts and not their body. If a person still has affinity to thoughts, then it’s easy to conclude that the person is not enlightened.
In the Yoga Vasista, Sage Vasista was explaining to Rama the whole thing about chakras, kundalini, nadis etc. The explanation was very detailed. When Sage Vasista asked Rama if he understood, Rama replied that he did and went on to repeat exactly what Sage Vasista said. Sage Vasista said that he did not understand since all these things about chakras, kundalinis etc are are basically stories to keep the unenlightened occupied because they have a need to “do”.
Ramana Maharishi and Nisargadatta Maharaj both have never taught any chakra dhyana or kundalini awakening. They basically just taught to “be” the self. One can’t be the self and think it is so. Thinking is the problem. Maharaj used to say that if we think we know what it is the self; that is not the self.
The simplicity of their teachings belies the enormity of the work that is to be put to even just “understand” what it is let alone “be” the self. When the true import

Is Satchit staying in a women's cell in the lock up? I thought that's the tradition of the Nithya satsang. Is there a picture of holy Satchit in hand cuffs? Please mail him back that photo, he will definitely paste it in his honeymoon album. The PC must have become judicial custody by now.. right? In that case, its at least a month for a bail. The CID needs to capture all the seniors and put them in a sh!*ty dark room. Then only the abused victims can brought to the court for raw evidence.

ReplyDeleteIt is true that Ramana Was not teaching tantric nor chakra practices. However , that does not mean that he is teaching something wrong. Many teachers teach tantic practices, or body practices. Especially in the taoist traditions which go way back. Body practices go way back. The fifteen year time with a teacher or an integration time,after enlightenment, is not a fable or story. It is something I have witnessed in the spiritual world first hand.With many masters they need a 10 year integration time. That is why they should not be teaching until they are ready. That is why we should not hang those teachers who are accidently teaching before there time. There is a female swami on the internet saying that nithyananda did not finish all of his swami training. So again, He is innocent until proven guilty. I can hardly imagine a reason for people to be throwing shoes at him. Jesus taught mostly to love people and not judge them. He did not teach the same as other masters yet, he was enlightened.I again do not understand why lenon is saying that nithyananda was abusing people. The only video tape evidance he has. Why do you compare Ramana Maharishi to this fraud? It's like comparing rose to a pig poop. Now that you mention Ramana, I assume that you know that he lived his entire life in the open. If you saw his Ashram, you will see that he lived in a very small room with only a wooden bed and a couple of necessities. He slept in the open with his devotees. His only possessions were a loin cloth and a towel.
When a disgruntled devotee filed a case against him in a land dispute, Ramana cooperated fully with the authorities. Please read how respectfully and truthfully he answered the questions. And how impressed the authorities were.

It is not that nithyanada is a fraud. The point is, that he is sill a human being. The point is that nithyananda is not the enemy.
No True Realized person. Walks around claiming enlightenment. They just do not do it.If they are doing that, then they still need a teacher. They are only half baked. If baked at all.

It is a usual rule that after one is accused of a crime with or without a bail, the same person never speaks in public, its their lawyer who speaks. The accused remain silent as their words can again be used for prosecution or evidence. While Nithya has gone on maun-wrath, Gopal is still itching around in the youtube. He'll stop possibly take his mahasamadhi when a second round of investigation begins to bring in few more evidence which Gopal Reddy thought was a hot prasad for his eternal teacher. Your comments seem to assume that if a person is considered a Swami, then that person is enlightened. Not ALL Swamis are enlightened.
Your contention is that Nithy is not fully enlightened because he still has to learn from a Guru / Teacher for another 10 15 years. Could you just explain exactly what is it that a person is “learning” for the period of 10 to 15 years?
The whole scriptures can be summarized as “Aham Brahmasmi” and “Tat Tvam Asi”. This is all that any self realized person wants to convey and this is what all the scriptures want to convey. Problem is that people just cannot either accept it or fully understand what it means or implies. Just so that people can at least come to this conclusion or understanding, these 2 primordial teachings have been wrapped up in so much rhetoric and innuendo which is expected to give people something to chew and digest before reaching the final understanding. .
Problem is that the “wrappings” have become utmost in importance and not what it is supposed to lead to. I assume this is what you mean when you say that a person has to learn and integrate for 10 to 15 years with a teacher. The learning of the “wrappings”.
You have people like Nithy who teach and explain the scriptures. Yes, the scriptures instruct the truth. But when that truth is told to us by someone, it will always invariably be an interpretation of that person. That interpretation is just that- an opinion and not the truth. If you want the truth go to the scriptures and read them yourself. At the very least you will then get you own “opinion” and someone else’s. But as you reflect and ponder on the scriptures, the layers of our understanding get subtler and subtler till we are just with the truth in its absolute. Till we are left with Aham Brahmasmi” and “Tat Tvam Asi”.
Like I said before, either a person is enlightened or not. There are no levels. If you are saying that starting to be taught the scriptures is the beginning of enlightenment and coming to the final understanding of “Aham Brahmasmi” and “Tat Tvam Asi” is full enlightenment, then I am sorry to say that you are mistaken.
What is enlightenment? Isn’t it “Self Realization”? In other words, a person realizing the self. Doesn’t “Aham Brahmasmi” and “Tat Tvam Asi” explain it so completely? Till the time a person does not completely understand these 2 primordial teaching, there can not be any sort of enlightenment.
